The simplest, most cost-effective approach to reduce corrosion in wet pipe sprinkler systems is to exhaust trapped gas with an ECS Ejector Automatic Vent (PAV-W) also known as a venting system. Trapped gas contains 21% oxygen which can cause severe internal damage to your fire sprinkler system piping. The relationship between oxygen and corrosion is linear – remove 50% of the trapped oxygen in your system and reduce corrosion activity by 50%. Specifically designed for new and existing fire sprinkler systems, the PAV-W offers the lowest clear height for any redundant vent in the industry, and redundant floats mean you don’t have to plumb this device to a drain. The automatic air vent allows gas to escape the system through the device while a float valve seals closed once water reaches the device.

FM Approved meets the new NFPA 13 vent requirement and is for use under U.S. Patent No. 8,636,023.
